There are four pairs of paranasal sinuses, making a total of eight sinuses. These air-filled cavities are located within the bones of the skull, surrounding the nasal cavity. The four pairs of paranasal sinuses are: Frontal, Maxillary, Ethmoid and Sphenoid.
