About me

Mr Turlough Farnan MB BCh BAO, FRCS ORL-HNS

I am an ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) Consultant at Kingsbridge Private Hospital.

I treat a wide range of ENT conditions often taking referrals from consultant colleagues for complex nasal cases.

I graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a degree in Medicine in 1996 and completed specialist ENT training in 2009. I then completed a fellowship in nasal surgery with Mr Julian Rowe-Jones in Guildford, Surrey where I gained extensive experience in both advanced cosmetic rhinoplasty and endoscopic sinus surgery.

I have a special interest in conditions affecting the nose and sinuses, including sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, deviated nasal septum and nasal polyps. I regularly perform endoscopic sinus surgery, rhinoplasty and septoplasty and have performed several thousand nose and sinus procedures during my career in ENT.

Typically patients will present to my clinics with symptoms such as nasal blockage, congestion in the sinuses, runny nose, or facial pain. I appreciate how these problems can have a significant impact on quality of life and I work in partnership with his patients to develop a plan of investigation and management. I am aware that each patient is different and aim to provide an individual treatment strategy for each one. If symptoms cannot be controlled with medication or lifestyle changes they can be assured that I will use all my experience to guide them safely through their operative journey.
